Fundraiser:   Our Camel Race Night Fundraiser takes place on Saturday April 13th    at 8:00pm in Murtagh’s Bar. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the generosity of the whole school community in supporting this initiative for our new play area. We are also very grateful for the amazing support that our local businesses have given. We have attached a list of the businesses that have thus far donated money towards the project. Their willingness to help out our school financially demonstrates a fantastic sense of community.  We hope that you in return to will continue to support them

We urge all parents to please turn up on the night and support this event.  Representatives of many of our sponsoring companies will be present at the race night and it is important that their generosity towards your children is acknowledged by a strong turn-out from Parents.  We need your support to ensure the success of the event.  We would again like to remind you that this is a once-off event night and the first we have had in over 25 years.  There is no admission charge on the night, so please come along, enjoy the night, and show your support.  It would be greatly appreciated.

School Building:   As I’m sure many of you have seen, the building of our new classroom has commenced and should be in place for the start of the new school year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents and pupils of the school for cooperating with not being on the school premises before 9:10am.

Standardised Tests:   The dates for the standardised tests are as follows:

English: May 27th – 30th. Maths: June 4th – 7th. These are important tests and it can be disruptive to all if pupils miss out on these tests and have to catch up at a later date.  If you know your child will be absent during any either of these weeks, we would appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible.

Swimming:  We have one more session of swimming next week.

Football/Soccer: Our girls football team will start training Tuesday 9th April at 3.30pm in Kingscourt pitch. Benny is currently with 5th and 6th class. Well done to the three teams who performed superbly at the County Soccer Blitz yesterday.

School Uniforms:  Just a reminder of the importance of pupils wearing the correct full uniform on the correct day. P.E day is a Wednesday and this will be the case when swimming concludes next week.

Cash for Clothes: Our Parents Association have organised a clothes collection for Wednesday May 8th. Please note the company collecting the bags have advised that they will take curtains, quilts and pillows, as long as they are clean and reusable, and put in bags.
