Community Games Art Competition

Dear Teachers & Parents

It is that time of year again for Community Games Art, Handwriting and Model Making competitions. We would be very grateful if you could facilitate the competitions for us again. All exhibits of Art, Handwriting or Model Making and the fee of €3 per entry must be brought into Kingscourt School on or before Wednesday 14th May.

Please make sure that:

Child’s Name; Sex; Date of Birth are clearly written on the back of the page.

ART:

  • BOYS & GIRLS U8/U10/U12/14/U16
  • Participants create a piece of art on an a4 or a3 page
  • The exhibit must be based on a Community Games Activity
  • U8 & U10 his/her own choice of any Community Games activity
  • U12/U14 & U16 must be one of these activities – Solo Dance; Group Singing; Athletics Relays; Tag Rugby; Volleyball; Pitch & Putt; Long Jump; Cycling on Grass; Soccer & Model Making

HANDWRITING:

  • BOYS & GIRLS U10, U12 & U14
  • U10 – Needs to be between 100-150 words
  • U12 & U14 - Needs to be between 200- 250 words
  • Pencil size HB

MODEL MAKING:

  • BOYS & GIRLS U10, U12, U14 & U16
  • Maximum size of an exhibit will be 60cm x 60cm x 60cm
  • The exhibit must be based on a Community Games Activity

COUNTY FINALS WILL BE ON 2nd JUNE IN CAVAN TOWN
